Polyester Films

Polyester film is often referred to as PET film, which stands for Polyethylene Terephthalate. It is a type of thermoplastic, which means it can be formed and manipulated when a specific type of heat is applied. Polyester film is known for offering optical clarity, excellent physical and mechanical strength, and thermal and chemical stability. It bonds well to metal, adhesives, and a variety of inks.

PET film properties give the film food-safe qualities. The material doesn’t contaminate food or beverages with chemicals or other harmful materials. It is also one of the most environmentally friendly plastic films available.

Since polyester film is a thermoplastic engineered film, its form can be changed with various levels of heat. This allows it to easily be recycled and used again, which can dramatically reduce the need for new raw materials and high energy output for manufacturing.

Polyester films are available in Plain, Treated, Heat-Sealable, Metallized, Matte, and Coated.
