Packaging film is a versatile material commonly used in the packaging industry. There are several types of packaging film, each with unique properties that make them ideal for a wide range of applications – from food & beverage to consumer healthcare.

PennPac supplies a number of flexible packaging films including BOPP films, Polyester (PET) films, Metallized films, Cast PP (CPP) films, and Specialty films.

BOPP films are commonly used for food packaging, labels, and different industrial applications. PennPac offers a wide range of BOPP films that are recognized for their superior mechanical properties, exceptional oxygen and moisture durability, and sealing characteristics. There are two PennPac wholly owned facilities which are located in Manheim, Pennsylvania and Piedmont, South Carolina. Our Piedmont facility opened in 2021, marking a significant expansion for the company with an additional 68,000 sq. ft. of operating space. Contact us to learn more.

Yes. The majority of our film offerings are in inventory at PennPac owned and operated facilities. Each facility has warehouse stock and redundant slitting capacity to ensure consistent quality and quick deliveries. Learn more about our Services.

Yes. All PennPac films are designed for direct food contact and meet or exceed all regulatory requirements and third-party audit needs for food safety.

Our Manheim, PA and Piedmont, SC facilities are certified with AIB International, the recognized leader in food safety standards. In 2022, our Manheim, PA facility also achieved SQF (Safe Quality Food) Certification, which is recognized by the GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative). Learn more about our quality standards.

PennPac is committed to sustainability through our energy-saving and intrinsic recycle programs. We have several efforts in place to help reduce the impact of our work on the environment. This includes:

  • Maintaining our less than 2% waste material generation
  • Recycling as much waste material as possible
  •  Continuing to keep energy usage low with 100% LED lighting and new HVAC and material handling equipment
  • Researching/purchasing products with a lower environmental impact
  • Using lower impact transportation methods whenever possible
  • Avoiding paper usage whenever possible
  • Recycling equipment that is no longer of use to the company
