Our Facilities

Our state-of-the-art warehousing and slitting facilities in Manheim, PA and Piedmont, SC are the foundation of our sustainability efforts and commitment to quality. Both locations are certified by AIB International, a global leader in food safety training and certification.

However, our Manheim, PA facility also holds a SQF (Safe Quality Food) Certification, which is recognized by the GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) as one of the highest standards in food safety.

SQF certification is important, for both customers and suppliers. Many customers (especially those who are SQF certified themselves) require suppliers to be certified. This ensures that all parties are effectively managing risk.

SQF certification is a standard recognized around the world. It complies with all necessary regulatory requirements, regardless of geographical location.

Additionally, regulations related to food safety are constantly evolving. Working with an SQF certified supplier provides peace of mind as new requirements are announced and implemented.

Our Processes

PennPac has a number of programs and processes in place to support our quality and food safety management systems and ensure we meet or exceed industry standards. All of our internal procedures ensure that customers not only get fast order delivery but also get an exceptional-quality product every time.

Our quality protocols are based on the HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) system – an internationally recognized method of identifying and managing food safety related risk. Many of today’s leading manufacturers and vendors use the HAACP system as the foundation for their programs and for compliance with GFSI audit schemes.

Our People

PennPac’s quality-centric culture is strengthened by our team of dedicated, long-tenured, and skilled employees. Generating less than 2% waste material
Recycling any waste that is created within our facility
Minimizing energy consumption
Purchasing energy-efficient equipment
Recycling decommissioned equipment

BOPP based Synthetic Paper by PennPac

PennPac Paper is a synthetic material with high opacity, made from Post Industrial Recycled (PIR) polymer content, with paper-like attributes. Over 70% of its framework is derived from recycled Polypropylene extrusion waste, which never leaves the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) manufacturing facility. The balance of its composition, containing additives to give it the color and performance of paper. What does this mean? Sustainability at its best! This process allows the virgin extrusion waste to be diverted away from the landfill with a new purpose – prior to the consumer market.

 

What’s more, is that the PennPac Paper product itself, is 100% recyclable!
